The Blavatnik Cambridge Fellowships Programme, made possible through the generous support of Sir Leonard Blavatnik, the Blavatnik Family Foundation and the British Council, was founded in 2014 through a collaborative partnership between Blavatnik Family Foundation, British Council, the British Embassy, and University of Cambridge. The programme is designed to strengthen British-Israeli scientific relations and has allowed 34 of Israel's brightest young scientists working in the fields of life sciences, physical sciences, engineering and mathematics to pursue their first international postdoctoral studies in the United Kingdom with world-class research groups at University of Cambridge.
As of June 2024, the administration of the programme and new Calls for Applications will be undertaken by Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
