Ethics and Discipline

Disciplinary Committee of the Academic Staff

The Disciplinary Committee of the Academic Staff is in place to ensure the integrity of research and teaching activities of the academic faculty members, the decency of the publication of research papers, and the proper ethical and financial conduct within the academic and administrative roles of the academic faculty member. The committee seeks to ensure that a faculty member will conduct all of these activities in his / her position at the University in a manner appropriate to an academic employee. The disciplinary regulations of the members of the academic staff define the acts and omissions that will be considered as disciplinary offenses, determine the expected penalties for those who commit such offenses and regulate the disciplinary proceedings.

The faculty disciplinary committee consists of two tribunals: the first, which is composed of a single judge, and the second, which is composed of three members from a list of 12 faculty members and six public representatives who have been approved by the university Board of Managers In such a composition two faculty members and one public representative will sit. There is also an appellate court.
